Late night pickup on the same day after 9pm = $180
Before you book check with your venue if a late night pick up is required.
If you have hired staff with your tower in some circumstances they may take the tower with them - this all depends on what time you are pouring the tower and how many hours you are booking the staff person for - call us to discuss.

Are parking fees applicable?

A parking fee applies only to CBD location to assist in staff parking charges if a loading dock is not present.  This is a given, considering parking is horrendous in CBD locations.

Do I need to provide a table and where should I place the tower?

Yes or we do have them available for hire.  When you do provide a table, make sure it is;

  • Not wobbly!
  • The ground is level!
  • Is in a location where it wont be bumped! do not place it near the table with all the children at a wedding.

At weddings many couples like to place the tower where it can be seen.  The larger the tower the more impressive it is so make sure you give it the limelight it deserves.

Its totally up to you if you want it clothed or not - most venues will have table cloths otherwise you can also hire from us directly.  The location of the tower greatly depends on what time you are pouring it - refer to the question down to the bottom of this page.

Refer to the individual towers on this site for table dimension requirements.

What is the difference between a full pour and a part pour?

A full pour is using ALL the champagne bottles to completely fill every single glass. This includes the pouring aspect and then the follow up pour of all inner tower glasses also.
A part pour is using upto 2/3rds of the required bottles to part fill the tower. This includes the pouring aspect, but does not include pouring all the inner tower glasses.

Does the tower completely fill up?

It’s a given that not all glasses will fill totally up when pouring and there will be quite a bit wastage in the drip tray below. Many inner glasses within the tower wont completely fill and will need to be filled as the tower is disassembled and disbursed.

What type of champers/sparkling should I use?

Champagne Towers are impressive structures and look amazing when being poured. They are a great photo opportunity. When deciding on which sparkling/champagne to use consider the following;
- Is the tower going to be disassembled and ALL glasses used for a toast?
- Do all guests like drinking champagne/sparkling?
- Is this just for a toast and photo opportunity, with minimal guests drinking?

In answer to the above questions we advise on purchasing the following types of sparkling/champagne;
- Is the tower going to be disassembled and ALL glasses used for a toast? Best to use a good quality sparkling/champagne.
- Do all guests like drinking champagne/sparkling? Best to use a mid range sparkling/champagne to minimize wastage.
- Is this just for a toast and photo opportunity, with minimal guests drinking? We advise on doing a part pour with a good quality sparkling/champagne or a full pour with mid range champagne/sparkling.

We do have sparkling/champagne available to purchase from us directly for additional costing - contact us for a quote.

Do I need to empty the drip tray?

Yes if you haven't hired staff.  The drip trays collect the excess champers as it cascades down.  We've seen couples pour the excess into jugs to consume later which is totally fine by us (it happens more often then you think).  If you haven't hired staff, don't worry we will inform the venue staff of your venue with all pouring details prior.

Do you provide mats?

No we don't provide mats.  We know that some venues are worried the tower might fall, or that the drip tray might over spill (this doesn't happen) and like to use mats.  Frankly the look out of place under a tower and are more of a hazard for someone to trip over the edge of them.

What time should I pour the tower?

From experience we believe the tower is best poured at the beginning of the event.  Many weddings many couples like to have the tower setup in a 'best to view' location so all guests can see it upon arrival - this may be a foyer/reception area or the dance floor.

If you are setting up in either of these locations then best to pour at time of the arrival, cake cutting to get it out of the way.  These days all of the formalities are undertaken at a wedding at the beginning of the reception within the first 1-1.5 hours.

For Corporate events many clients wish to pour this at the conclusion of an event or mid way through - if this is the case make sure it is placed in a distinct 'of to the side' location -  after people have a few drinks the tower can be easily forgotten about if it was placed in a central location and is more prone to be knocked over.

What will staff do if I hire them?

Cocktail Queen staff will assist you in pouring the tower, so that is they will either hand you opened bottles as you begin pouring or will pour on your behalf.

When you book a staff person for the 5 hours you must ensure that this time includes BUMP IN, setup, waiting for guests to arrive, pouring, disbursement, collection, pack down and BUMP OUT.  This is usually all achieved within 5 hours if you are pouring at the beginning of an event.  If not, then YOU WILL NEED TO purchase additional staff hours.  Before you book staff hire check what time bump in is as this is what time the 5 hours duration starts from.  Our staff will need 45 minutes to setup, but bump in at some venue locations are horrific for access and can take up to 1 hour - especially CBD locations. So make sure you check this all out.

How do I pour the tower?

We provide you with a complete checklist and pouring instructions to you, the venue and venue staff once you book.  This information sheet also details all other information regarding delivery, collection of glassware and other requirements that your venue needs to know - we will liaise directly with your venue coordinator also upon booking.
